WGAB 1180 AM: Faith Music Radio
“Reaches Across the Dial” to 93.1 FM
On Wednesday, June 15, at 3:05 p.m., Faith Music Radio will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of its brand new FM translator, located at 93.1 on the FM dial. The new signal will simulcast their Christian music and programming in a 24-hour format on the FM frequency, a first in Faith Music Radio’s history. Faith Music Radio positions itself as “Powerful, Positive Radio”, broadcasting traditional Gospel music with conservative Christian talk. The station’s format incorporates live announcers with a focus on the local community.
The ceremony will be aired live on the station’s afternoon drive time show, Riverside DRIVE with Dan Wolfe. The outdoor event will be co-hosted by the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Joining in the ceremony will be Evansville mayor Lloyd Winnecke and the founder of Faith Broadcasting International, Gayle Russ. Also present will be 92-year-old WWII veteran, Bill Lee, Faith Broadcasting's first “official” listener when the station’s Gospel format was launched twelve years ago on WGAB 1180 AM.
The ceremony will take place at 2345 E. Riverside Drive in Evansville, which is at the corner of Boeke Road. The public is welcome. For additional information, call (812) 479-5342, or visit online at FaithMusicRadio.com.
